DANCING 2 shows us the idealized body of a female figure in dancing movement. Only the torso can be seen – part of her face, her neck to her thighs. She is only wearing a tiny black slip and is holding some kind of jacket above her head. She could be from an ad or a pin-up magazine. The curves of the athletic, iconographic upper body are formulated in minute detail, but the shiny, golden jacket is looking almost like a cut out or a collage. Most likely the entire scene is computer generated, and the contrast with the classical depiction of the torso and the pink background is strong. Classicism, digital aesthetics, and pop are combined here in a unique way.
