Walter Passarella was born the 7th august 1960 in Mortara (Pv - Italy), where he still lives and works. He studied at the Art Institute of Valenza Po, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. Since that period, started his career as an artist and he has received considerable acclaim from critics and public. From the outset his attention focused on human and social dynamics, which became the main theme of his research. We can say that the artist is centred upon the search for a “Vitruvian man”, but only from a philosophical and spiritual point of view. In his artistic research, he doesn’t only use painting, but also sculpture with different materials, photography and sceneries for theatre plays. He also illustrated the cover for the book “The little man’s ring-a-ring-a-roses” by Lorenzo Fizzotti Degrati. His works are in private collections in Rome, Milan, Modena, Bari, Turin, Tokyo, Paris, London, Monaco, Boston, Miami, and in the Picture Gallery of the Pontifical Shrine of Pompei.
