COMOUFLAGE 1

COMOUFLAGE 1 shows us the idealized body of a female figure against a gray blue background. Only the torso can be seen – her neck to her thighs. In her hand she is holding a sponge that covers her pubic area. She is dressed in a kind of cape with camouflage patterns and some golden shimmering cloth. The curves of the athletic, iconographic upper body are formulated in minute detail in 3D, the clothing is two-dimensional, looking almost like a collage. Pink polka dots hover over the entire space. Most likely it is computer generated, and the contrast with the classical – even god-like – depiction of the torso is strong. Classicism, digital aesthetics, and pop are combined here in a unique way.
