About Frans Muhren

Frans Muhren is nationally-distinguished sculpture and painter from the Netherlands. His primary medium is metal with he manipulates in abstract forms before adding color and life with paint. Movement (or the suggestion of it), contradictions (such as shadow and light, the oit convex and concave), and the possibilities of matter are the central themes of his work. In his sculptural work, small stories and unique characters appear in his colorful, sometimes abstract pieces.
