Artist Statement:
Kevin's work plays with space through the use of line and colour. He has used CNC cutting technology to achieve a clean line and consistent depth of cut. They are wood, birch plywood in fact. They are then finished with auto spray.

The lines guide the viewer to two destinations; The obvious continuation of the line around and in the gallery space. But also in the imagined space where the line acts as a fold line which then creates a three-dimensional form.

The contrasting and striking colours hold the viewer. The larger or "flat areas" become solid and create a definite plane from where the lines then travel.

In a way, Kevin's work can be identified as process based. His works are always becoming and are moving into other destinations in both the physical and imaginary space. This is not the first time we see this in Kevin's work.
