Yong Chen is a professional artist and educator. He has taught art for over 25 years. Colleges and universities he has taught and lectured at include: Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Massachusetts; Bunker Hill Community College, Massachusetts; University of Hartford, Connecticut; Art Institute of New Hampshire, New Hampshire; Rivier University, New Hampshire; and Lyndon State College, Vermont.
Yong Chen has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Hartford, Connecticut. He currently is a full-time art professor with the Bunker Hill Community College in Boston. He has successfully developed, produced and instructed three online studio art courses: Watercolor I, Drawing I, and Watercolor II.
Yong Chen is a published author and illustrator. He has illustrated and authored many children’s books and magazines. Publishers of his work include: Little Brown and Company, HarperCollins, Boyds Mills Press, Spider, Cricket, and AppleSeeds. Prior becoming a full-time professor, Yong had served as creative director and digital artist for various companies since.
